| The hilly territory of the marches has always provided a wine production of respect, although not particularly well-known nationally. Only the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi has the reputation it deserves, followed at a short distance from Rosso Piceno. The Rosso Piceno goes well with grilled meats and roasts; the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi is traditionally a fish wine. There are however other wines from the marches that would more considered for their qualities, like "Bianchello" or red Conero. |  |
